NP: Civil Twilight, Quiet in My Town
I believe with all of my heart that music sets your mood. It soothes your pain. It molds your mind. It exemplifies everything. Feelings are heightened and can easily be expressed. All by a simple song. Not only does the music move you, but the lyrics speak to you. Listen with your heart. Relate. Feel. Partake.
There's so much pain in this world and nobody deserves to be put through it. Nobody. I encourage you to look up the song scripted above and just close your eyes, and listen. Breathe it in. Shut your mind off for 7 minutes and 17 seconds, and free yourself. Music is an easy escape. It's a healthy escape. Be slow to speak, slow to anger, and quick to hear. It's okay to break down. It's okay to be vulnerable for the sake of mourning a lost soul. And It is okay to ask why. But don't lose touch. Don't shut others out. They're also lost souls trying to hold themselves together. Do not go through it alone. Break the silence and stand up tall. Hold on tight. Have hope. Do it for the ones you love. Do it for the ones who you know would want you to. Do it for yourself. In every pain there is healing. You can choose to blame your circumstances on fate or bad luck or God. Or you can fight back. And you can win.
