Reasons Why I BLAST My Music
- To drown out my mom (She's usually yelling at me to do laundry or school work or something mature, so I find this the perfect excuse to say, "I didn't hear you.")
- To annoy my brother (He thinks I have horrible taste in music when really, we listen to the same genres, but mine are more current. So i just blare it. Especially in the mornings when it's past 9 a.m. and he's still asleep.)
- To give my annoying neighbor something more to complain about (This guy complains about anything and everything under the sun. So i usually keep my window wide open at all times not just for fresh air, but to make sure his son can hear it, who's room is right next to mine and sometimes also has his window open. And when his window is open, i make sure its a nice upbeat song.)
- To focus on my homework (Studies actually show that some people study better with music playing. Well, i'm one of those statistics. I love to blare a good upbeat song that way i REALLY have to focus on what i'm doing.)
- To blog (I always seem to incorporate lyrics and songs in my blogs. So when you see a lyric or song, chances are I was listening to that song while blogging.)
- To write (A lot of songs are inspirational and sometimes help me choose a topic to write about.)
- To think (While lying on my bed or floor with the lights off, I blast my music and just think about whatever is going through my head. Usually it makes me think about things harder and really makes me concentrate.)
- To sing in my mirror (Um, Duh. Doesn't everybody practice their pop-star moves in the mirror? Yea, I wonder what I look like while dancing and singing too.)
- To connect (If i'm going through a situation of any type, I bump it up and try to find a song that relates to my situation and compare it to mine or try to figure out what the artist was going through or just give it my own meaning.)
- To get dressed (I come from a noisy family so having my music loud is just comforting. I seem to do things better with it loud. It can also very easily inspire an outfit i'm trying on or trying to find.)
